This sanctuary would not exist in the way it does without the extraordinary people who serve on its Board of Directors. Each of them brings something rare — not only skills and experience, but heart, devotion, and a genuine love for this mission.

This work has been my life’s calling. It is the purpose I have carried with me for decades, and I would never entrust it to anyone I did not believe in and trust immeasurably. Every member of this Board holds that trust with care, integrity, and deep respect for the responsibility we share.

I chose each person thoughtfully, guided by both discernment and instinct, knowing that the lives we protect deserve nothing less. I am endlessly grateful for the ways they show up, support this mission, and help carry the weight and honor of this work.

Alba Rosado brings a deeply nurturing spirit to the sanctuary. She is a devoted wife and mother, a skilled farrier, and someone who has spent years caring for, training, and loving horses with patience and respect. Alba’s energy is contagious — she is funny, creative, and always overflowing with ideas. Her warmth and vision bring life and momentum to everything she touches.

Janet Thomas offers strength through honesty, calm, and unwavering stability. A loving wife, mother, and incredible grandmother, Janet spent her career managing medical practices and brings that experience into the heart of our mission. She is straightforward, grounded, and deeply nurturing — a steady presence whose guidance brings clarity and peace.

Sydney Mitchell is a true ray of sunshine. She brings joy, kindness, and warmth wherever she goes. Always met with a cheerful smile, Sydney has a natural ability to care deeply for everyone around her. Her nurturing heart and positive spirit remind us daily that compassion can be both gentle and powerful.

Madison May brings wisdom, focus, and fierce advocacy to the sanctuary. Through her education and work as a victims’ advocate in homicide for the State of Florida, she carries a deep understanding of trauma, patience, and humanity. Madison is level-headed, thoughtful, and deeply caring toward everyone she meets. She is also our beloved cat whisperer, offering calm and understanding to even the most sensitive souls.

Jimmie May contributes strong financial insight and steady leadership to the Board. As a devoted husband and father, he leads with kindness, patience, and reliability. His ability to balance strategy with compassion helps ensure the mission remains protected and sustainable.

Angie McWilliams joins the Board with professionalism, dedication, and a true heart for animals. Working in the airline industry, Angie brings reliability and perspective, along with the deep compassion of a mother and passionate animal advocate. As a foster mom, she patiently waits for the right rescue to align with her abilities, always ready to step in when an animal needs her most.

Caleb May brings a profound love for animals — they truly are his soul. He is one of the most compassionate people I know, with a heart that meets others with kindness and understanding. Caleb is funny, intelligent, and thoughtful, bringing warmth and sincerity into every space he enters.

With a background in mathematics and physics, he offers valuable insight in finance and technology, helping the sanctuary plan wisely and think clearly. Beyond his education, Caleb’s greatest strength is his character. He is fair, honest, and deeply accepting of people for who they are and where they are. His empathy and integrity add depth and balance to the Board in meaningful ways.

Together, this Board forms the foundation beneath my life’s work. They are generous with their time, steady in their guidance, and united by a shared promise to protect vulnerable lives with compassion and care. I trust them completely, and because of that trust, this mission is able to grow with heart, intention, and hope.
